COACH KAY LOUTHIAN

Coach Louthian Kay Louthian is the new coach of the NC State Wolfpack Women's Tennis Team. An assistant at Vanderbilt for the last two years, Louthian has an impressive tennis background. Ranked No. 1 in the south as a junior, she attended the University of Florida and helped the team to two SEC Championships. She was a member of the Gators 1992 National Championship Team. Louthian was named Academic All-SEC her junior year.

After graduation, she played on the pro tour for a year and a half. Louthian won two doubles titles, achieving world rankings on the WTA tour in singles and doubles.

When a knee injury ended her playing career, Louthian began teaching tennis in Columbia, South Carolina. She also coached and traveled with Nicole Arendt, who was ranked No. 1 in the world in doubles with partner, Manon Bollegraf.

Louthian has a reputation as a hard working individual who should be a perfect fit for the Wolfpack's continued rise in ACC and national tennis prominence.
