Francie was honored at the NC State-Clemson basketball game February 27 for being ranked in the top 10 of NC State athletes academically. She is a tremendous role model on the court and in the classroom and a credit to the NC State tennis program.
The NC State Wolfpack tennis web site released the following information after Francie competed at the number one singles position against the 59th ranked Michigan Wolverines...
"Senior Francie Barragan was named the women's tennis player of the
week for 2/7 to 2/13. Barragan was honored because of the intensity she showed
in practice and also her will to keep battling in her No. 1 singles match against Brooke Hart of Michigan. Barragan showed a lot of heart and determination the whole match before falling 6-3, 6-1. That was her first time playing at the No. 1 position."
